Andrea Bishop is a Canadian writer who recently moved from Vancouver to Salt Spring Island, British Columbia. Her short stories have been published in Grain, The Fiddlehead, trampset, The Masters Review, Cleaver, Exile Editions CVC Anthology #10, and elsewhere. In 2025, Andrea's stories were longlisted for the CBC Short Story Prize, The Disquiet Prize, and PRISM International's Jacob Zilber Prize for Short Fiction. She's an alumna of a Tin House Workshop and a first reader for the literary magazine EVENT. Andrea is grateful for support from the Canada Council for the Arts. She’s a morning person who appreciates forests, dogs, quests, and spreadsheets. When not writing, Andrea works as a health care management consultant. She’s currently putting the finishing touches on a short story collection and editing her first novel.
